The Shoot Day

A photo-essay looking at a day on the grouse moor. Britain has 75% of the world’s moorland habitat, which is home to the native Red Grouse, a bird that lives only on our islands. Careful nurturing of the moorland ensures the land and its diverse wildlife population continues to thrive. Without this hard work, the land would suffer, and we would no longer benefit from sharing our open spaces with Grouse, Curlew, Golden Plover, Bog Owl, Field Vole, Adder and many more.
